Karnataka’s Dhinidhi Desinghu appears to have made it a habit of breaking records. The 15-year-old broke her own women’s 100m freestyle meet record in the National Games swimming competition at Haldwani on Tuesday.

It was Dhinidhi’s third record in National Games swimming which ended on Tuesday with Karnataka taking both the men’s and women’s team titles. Srihari Nataraj, in the men’s section, and Dhinidhi ended with nine golds each (including relays) and finished as the stars of the competition.

Madhya Pradesh men and Telangana women took the 3×3 basketball titles beating Kerala in both finals.

The results: Swimming (winners only): Men: 100m freestyle: Srihari Nataraj (Kar) 50.65s; 100m breaststroke: Vidith S. Shankar (Kar) 1:03.97s.

Women: 100m freestyle: Dhinidhi Desinghu (Kar) 57.34s MR, OR own 57.87; 100m breaststroke: Harshitha Jayaram (Ker) 1:14.34s.

Mixed: 4x100m relay: Karnataka (4:03.91s).

3×3 basketball (finals): Men: Madhya Pradesh bt Kerala 22-20.

Women: Telangana bt Kerala 21-11.
