‘AS 23’: Ashok Selvan and Preity Mukhundhan team up for a new film

Ashok Selvan’s next film, tentatively titled AS 23, has officially launched on Sunday. Preity Mukhundhan, known for starring in the hit video songs ‘Aasa Kooda’ and ‘Morni’, and playing one of the leads in the Kavin-starrer Star, has been roped in as the female lead for the upcoming film.

Debutant director Karthik Ramakrishnan is helming the upcoming film and the Ashok-starrer Por Thozhil’s director Vignesh Raja has penned the film’s script.

Announcement regarding the rest of the cast and technicians working in this film is expected to be released soon. AS 23 is being produced by Ashok Selvan and Abhinaya Selvam under the banner of Happy High Pictures which earlier bankrolled the actor’s Oh My Kadavule.

Meanwhile, Ashok Selvan is a part of Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life. On the other hand, Preity is awaiting the release of her Telugu film Kannappa followed by her Malayalam debut Maine Pyar Kiya.
