Alice Bell, ex-wife of Al Roker, dead at 77
Alice Bell, the ex-wife of “Today” show weathercaster and morning TV staple Al Roker, has died. She was 77.
Bell’s death was announced by their daughter, Courtney Roker Laga, via Instagram on Monday.
“She was my mother, my heart, and the most loving grandmother to Sky,” Laga posted. “I was with her for her last breath, and I will carry her love with me always.”
Bell’s cause of death has not been revealed.
She and Roker, 70, were married from 1984 to 1994.
The Post has reached out to representatives for Roker.
The beloved weatherman has yet to speak out about Bell’s passing but did not appear on Tuesday’s “TODAY” show broadcast. NBC meteorologist Dylan Dreyer filled in for Roker. It’s unclear whether his absence was related to his ex-wife’s death.
Al and Alice were married from ’84 to ’94 and adopted their daughter, Courtney, in ’87. Al later had two kids, Leila and Nicholas, with his current wife, Deborah Roberts.
This is a developing story.
