Glen Powell channels Goldilocks in Ram Super Bowl 2025 ad
From Glen to Goldie!
Glen Powell channels his inner Fabio — and Goldilocks — in Ram’s 2025 Super Bowl commercial as he reads a bedtime story to his real-life niece and nephew.
The ad opens with a girl dressed as Goldilocks skipping in a forest as Powell, 36, narrates.
“Once upon a time, there was a girl with golden locks,” he begins.
“You know what, maybe it was like a rugged woodsy dude,” the “Twisters” star says, revealing himself as Goldilocks. The actor pulls off the look as he wears a Regency outfit with long blond hair — similar to Fabio — who has been on countless romance book covers.
“The beds were too hands, the chairs were too soft,” Powell continues as he explores the home, just as Goldilocks did in the fairytale.
“This Goldilocks wanted something tastier,” he says after smelling the porridge. While looking outside the window, Powell then spots three Ram Trucks.
“Those look just right,” the actor says straight into the camera before heading outside.
While driving the Ram 2500 Rebel, the “Top Gun: Maverick” actor finds himself in the desert having a face-off with a dragon.
Powell defeats the dragon with one super punch, packs it up and continues driving.
“Mhmm, Mhmm. Tastes like chicken,” Powell notes with a massive cooked meat thigh in his hand.
Next, Powell drives the Ram Charger into the woods where he can “flex his artistic muscles.” He carves a very muscular statue of himself holding a falcon, with his hair flowing in the wind.
“That was a village tree,” one of the locals in the commercial says as many other villagers gather around the forest.
The “Anyone But You” star then takes the Ram RHO “for a little joy ride” as an active volcano starts to erupt.
“Time to jump a volcano,” Powell exclaims as he speeds up and flies over the volcano while screaming for freedom.
Powell’s niece and nephew interrupt him, asking him what happened to the three bears.
“This is my story,” he tells them before continuing with his rendition. A bear eventually joins them in the vehicle.
“And they all lived happily ever after … sort of,” Powell quips.
The commercial was directed by David Leech, who’s also behind the “Deadpool” and “John Wick” movies.
“I spent most of the ‘Twisters’ shoot in a Ram truck and it just felt right,” Powell said in a statement about the ad. “Being part of this Super Bowl spot feels like a natural continuation of my connection to a brand that has already brought me so much joy behind the wheel.”
“I had the chance to play Uncle Glen alongside my real-life niece and nephew, Gwen and Witt, a role that hit close to home in the best way. In my family, the Super Bowl is more than just football, it’s about coming together, and yes, judging the commercials,” he continued. “Having my family in my first Super Bowl ad felt like the perfect way to bring everything full circle.”
Powell has starred in several hit movies leading up to his Super Bowl commercial, including last year’s “Twisters,” the 2018 Netflix romantic comedy “Set It Up,” 2023’s “Anyone But You,” alongside Sydney Sweeney and “Hit Man.”
In 2022, Powell played Lt. Jake ‘Hangman’ Seresin in the “Top Gun” sequel “Top Gun: Maverick,” starring Tom Cruise. Powell recently teased that a third film in the franchise is in the works.
His Ram commercial will air during Super Bowl 59 between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs at New Orleans Caesars Superdome on Sunday, Feb. 9.
