HPSL to sponsor the Bangalore Derby to be run on Jan. 26

R. Manjunath Ramesh, chairman & senior steward of the Bangalore Turf Club, said during a media briefing on Thursday that HPSL will sponsor the Derby jointly with Bangalore Turf Club Limited and the race, to be run on January 26, will be titled ‘HPSL Bangalore Derby’. The blue riband event of the season, which has a field of nine runners, has total stakes of ₹1,26,07,500 with the winner taking home ₹61,78,305 and a trophy valued at ₹1.25 lakh.
