‘It Ends With Us’ author Colleen Hoover deletes Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni photos amid legal battle

Colleen Hoover is back on Instagram — with a catch.

The “It Ends With Us” author, 45, returned to the social media platform on Wednesday after deactivating her account last month.

But Hoover’s profile no longer features any pictures of the film adaptation’s stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, who are currently suing each other.

Hoover also deleted any traces of last year’s “It Ends With Us” promotional tour that used to be on her account.

Hoover fled Instagram in January after the start of Lively and Baldoni’s hostile legal battle.

The actors played the lead roles in the adaptation of Hoover’s 2016 best-selling novel. In December, Lively, 37, sued Baldoni, 41, for alleged sexual harassment and allegedly orchestrating a retaliatory public smear campaign against her.

In turn, Baldoni countersued Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, alleging defamation, extortion and more. Both stars have denied the other’s claims through their respective lawyers.

When Lively made her initial accusations against Baldoni in a legal complaint filed on Dec. 20, Hoover supported the actress with a message on her Instagram Stories.

“@blakelively, you have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met,” Hoover wrote alongside a photo of the pair hugging at a screening of the film.

“Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt,” the author added.

Hoover’s post also included a link to a New York Times article that outlined Lively’s sexual harassment claims. Baldoni has since filed a lawsuit against the newspaper for $250 million for libel and false light invasion of privacy.

Rumors of drama between Lively and Baldoni began swirling in August 2024 when the stars refused to appear together to promote the film.

In her lawsuit against Baldoni, who also directed the film, Lively made claims of sexual harassment which included allegedly walking in on her breast-pumping for her newborn and speaking about his past porn addiction.

As part of his defense, Baldoni released never-before-seen text messages and a website outlining the timeline of events while filming the movie, claiming Lively took measures to gain control over the film.

In his legal documents filed in court, Baldoni also accused Lively of allegedly spending $430,000 of the “It Ends With Us” budget on her wardrobe and allegedly skipping a meeting with the film’s intimacy coordinator.

Lively and Baldoni’s trial has been scheduled for March 2026.

Their respective legal teams met in court in New York earlier this month for a pretrial conference, where the judge instructed all lawyers involved in the case to not make “extrajudicial statements” that could sway potential jurors.

The judge also threatened to move up the March 2026 trial if the drama between Baldoni and Lively continues to be “litigated in the press.”
