Kendrick Lamar shades Drake with ‘a’ necklace at Super Bowl 2025

Kendrick Lamar sang his Drake diss track “Not Like Us” at the 2025 Super Bowl on Sunday — and that’s not the only way he insulted his rival during the halftime performance.

Lamar’s outfit for the show included a massive “a” chain necklace, which appeared to be a nod to his “A minor” lyric from “Not Like Us.”

During his performance at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, he sang the full line (“Tryna strike a chord and it’s probably A minor”) that calls out Drake, 38, for allegedly having sex with underage women .

The crowd at the stadium sang along for the “A minor” part.

Lamar did, however, omit the word “pedophile” from his line “Certified Lover Boy? Certified pedophiles,” which is about Drake and his 2021 album “Certified Lover Boy.”

For the halftime show, Lamar also rocked a blue jacket that read “Gloria” across the front in big letters, a black shirt, blue jeans and a black hat.

He had Samuel L. Jackson, who was dressed as “Uncle Sam,” emcee the show.

As planned, SZA joined Lamar onstage, singing their 2018 Grammy, Golden Globe and Oscar-nominated hit from the “Black Panther” soundtrack, “All the Stars,” and “luther.”

Serena Williams, who dated Drake in 2011, also made a surprise appearance as a dancer.

Lamar performed “Not Like Us” at the Super Bowl one week after taking home five Grammys for the track, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

The song was one of 2024’s biggest hits, spending two nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 after its May 4 release.

Last month, Drake sued his own record label, Universal Music Group — which also reps Lamar — for defamation and harassment because they released and promoted “Not Like Us.”

Drake’s lawsuit called out UMG for spreading “false” and “dangerous” claims about the actor-turned-rapper.

The feud between the two stars began in 2013, but it reached new heights last year when Lamar claimed Drake had sex with underage women in “Not Like Us” — which Drake later denied.

The former “Degrassi: The Next Generation” star then released his own diss track, “The Heart Part 6,” where he alleged that he and his team planted fake stories for Lamar to use in his music amid their drama.

Drake has yet to respond to Lamar’s Super Bowl performance.
