Kerala Cricket Association serves notice to Sreesanth for supporting Sanju Samson

The Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) has served a show cause notice to former cricketer S. Sreesanth for criticising it and supporting Sanju Samson during a panel discussion on a Malayalam private TV channel.

Sreesanth is the mentor, brand ambassador and co-owner of Aries Kollam Sailors which won the Kerala Cricket League (KCL) recently. Sreesanth’s remarks didn’t amuse KCA which has initiated action against the 41-year-old.

“Sreesanth could have commented on the issue as an individual but as he is part of the KCL franchisee which has signed a contract with the KCA, he is bound by certain rules and he should respect them. We have also intimated the Kollam Aries Sailors about the development,’‘ KCA secretary Vinod S. Kumar told the media on Wednesday.
