Live-action adaptation of ‘Solo Leveling’ in the works

Kakao Entertainment has confirmed that a live-action adaptation of the popular web novel Solo Leveling is in development. The announcement comes alongside the ongoing second season of the anime adaptation, produced by A-1 Pictures.

While the live-action project is still in the planning and development stages, no details regarding the cast, production team, or release date have been disclosed at this time.

Solo Leveling, originally written by Chugong, follows the story of Sung Jinwoo, the world’s weakest hunter who gains extraordinary abilities after surviving a deadly dungeon raid. Using the mysterious “System” that only he can access, Jinwoo embarks on a journey to uncover the secrets of his newfound powers and the dungeon that transformed him.

The anime adaptation of Solo Leveling is directed by Shunsuke Nakashige, with series composition by Noboru Kimura, character designs by Tomoko Sudo, and a soundtrack by Hiroyuki Sawano.
