‘Maranamass’ first-look: Basil Joseph intrigues as a funky-haired ‘sigma male’

A quirky first-look of Basil Joseph’s new acting venture, Maranamass, is here. Joseph, a multi-facted actor and director who works primarily in Malayalam films, and is best known for the homegrown superhero action film Minnal Murali, stars in Maranamass as the main lead.

In the poster, Joseph sports a funky hairdo, a colourful jacket and a T-shirt with the phrase ‘Sigma Male’.

Joseph is joined in the cast of Maranamass by Siju Sunny, Anishma, Rajesh Madhavan, Suresh Krishna and Baby Antony. The film, a comedy, is directed by Sivaprasad and co-produced by Joseph’s longtime collaborator Tovino Thomas.

As an actor, Joseph recently headlined Ponman, a dark comedy set in the coastal Kollam region of Kerala. The film centres on a jewellery specialist, played by Joseph, and his conflict with a dowry situation.
