Will Smith should’ve slapped Kanye West at Grammys 2025
Jimmy Kimmel thinks that sometimes violence is the answer.
During his Feb. 3 monologue on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” the 57-year-old talk show host said that Will Smith should’ve slapped Kanye West at the 2025 Grammy Awards, after the rapper’s wife, Bianca Censori, wore a near-naked outfit on the red carpet.
“Another rodent came out of his hole to hit the red carpet at the Grammys last night — none other than Kanye West, who showed up to take photos,” said Kimmel.
“He showed up for the red carpet only with his wife, who caused quite a stir. She was wearing … nothing,” the comedian continued.
Smith, 56, was also at the Grammys to lead a tribute to the late great Quincy Jones, who produced Smith’s ’90s sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”
“Also on the red carpet at the Grammys last night, Will Smith, who is banned from the Oscars for 10 years,” Kimmel said. “The Grammys, they had him onstage honoring Quincy Jones.”
“And you know what’s a shame? Will Smith, all he had to do was run out on that red carpet and slap Kanye. I think all would be forgiven. He would be hosting the Oscars next year,” Kimmel joked.
The talk show host was referring to when Smith infamously slapped Chris Rock across the face at the Oscars in 2022. Smith was subsequently banned from attending the event for 10 years.
Kimmel went on to say that West, 47, and Censori’s red carpet stunt was only “the ninth craziest thing that happened this week.”
“Remember when the whole country melted down when one of Janet Jackson’s boobs popped out for a millisecond?” Kimmel recalled. “Now a completely nude woman walks the red carpet at the Grammys, they’re yelling, ‘Bianca, over here on the right! Please!”
West’s wife arrived at the Grammys wearing a long black fur coat, which she ditched to reveal her shocking see-through look.
A professional lip reader claimed West encouraged Censori, 30, to reveal her racy outfit in front of the cameras. West allegedly told Censori to “make a scene.”
Meanwhile, a body language expert said Censori — who has been married to West since 2022 — showed “fear” on the red carpet, and that her move to expose her outfit was the “ultimate attention-seeking statement.”
Additionally, a West confidante told the Post that Censori wanted to back out of the stunt, but West insisted.
A Hollywood PR expert has since revealed the reason behind the stunt, exclusively telling The Post that West went through with it “in order to get dollars in the till.” After they exited the red carpet, his brand Yeezy dropped an ad during the broadcast.
After the award show, West declared that he and his wife “beat the Grammys.”
He also bragged that Censori was “the most googled person on Earth” on Grammys night.
